2x kWh Cost
|
I met a representative at a local grocery store. I had luck saving money on my energy bill prior with other companies so I gave them a shot. The Representative talked a good talk and had data to back up what he was selling. The papers showed all the odd ball charges imposed by Grid, which amounted up to rough 50 some odd dollars. I had inquired about the cost of the kWh as this and the delivery fees due to attenuation over distance are what really cost us in the long run. I had been assured that the price per kWh would not change. So to my surprise getting a 550 electrical bill as opposed to the 50ish dollars off of the original bills which usually came in around $180 to $250 per month. If I was saving dollars we should have seen $130 to $200 not $550.
National Grids going rate is .06X cents per kWh in my service area, Green Mountain is charging me .14 cents per kWh in my service area. I will be filling a complaint with my states Public Service Commission and the Hotline for Competitive Energy Complaints. Twice the cost is not competitive. |

Scam- stay away
| I just found out they have been increasing my rates steadily under a variable plan and i've been paying 30-40% more than i would have been under the regular coned plan. It's completely dishonest- I was not notified of any rate increases or what this variable plan is or that i was being switched to one. They have sent me numerous marketing emails, but didn't bother sending me anything to renew a fixed rate plan? BS. When i signed up i was told i would only pay a few dollars more per month. I have spent several hundred dollars- maybe more- than i needed to. Extremely perturbed by this dishonest hidden business practice- I'm owed at least a partial refund. | |||
