Spark Energy - Oops, we collected the same debt again?

Our entire world might be more computerized all the time, but at the end of the day, we're all still human. Spark Energy found this out as a collection agency tried to re-collect debts from some previous Spark Energy customers. According to this report, some former Spark Energy customers ended up being contacted years after they closed their accounts, and were asked to pay amounts that they no longer owed:

A spokesperson for Spark Energy said: "A small number of our former customers have received communications regarding closed accounts which was unfortunately caused by human error."

We're sure somebody inside Spark is feeling a bit sheepish right now. We've all made mistakes, and we hope Spark smooths this over and everyone ends up happy.
